Top Shopping Sites of the City
Many people ask me where are the best places to shop in Manhattan now that I have lived and worked here for almost 3 years. Well I will tell you that this city is filled with so many amazing places and hidden jems besides the mainstream tourist hot spots. My main favorite areas for weekend browsing include the obvious 5th Avenue from Rockerfeller Center to Central Park East, Soho area - Broadway and side streets, Bleeker Street/West Village area, Union Square and lower part of 5th Avenue, Columbus Circle intrigued by the Time Warner Building and lastly anywhere, anytime they are having a designer sample sale that I just can't turn down. My favorites to hit regularly are at ClothingLine on 36th Street that house a variety of sales from JCrew to Theory to Tory Burch just to name a few. I love to wander the city on a nice, sunny day especially the street fairs & markets to really dive into the culture. Nothing is more amazing than finding some cute shops in the Village particularly vintage, my new obsession. Today I walked along Bleeker looking at some of my favorites- always loved the Marc Jacobs stores, Intermix, Olive & Bettes, Cynthis Rowley, Housing Works and you can't forget the famous Magnolia Bakery which no matter what the weather is will have a line around the block of people waiting to enjoy those tasty treats. No matter what you are looking for you are sure to find a multitude of places that will peak your interest plus so many more great spots that are sure to broaden your horizons and open you up to new favorites where you will be sure to return.

Season after Season Michael Kors continues to produce feminine, figure flattering and playful outfits that women desire. In this collection shown at NYC Fashion Week the looks ranged from the wild outdoors, day-time fun and evening looks that sparkle. The looks consistently unite neutral color tones with eye-catching, crowd appeal outfits. These sophicated, classic styles are a mix with a sexy twist that I continue to love everytime.

VINTAGE INSPIRATION
A FEW WEEKS AGO I WENT TO THE MANHATTAN VINTAGE SHOW HERE IN NYC. I FIRST WENT WITH WORK LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION FOR FUTURE COLLECTIONS BUT DESIDED TO GO BACK THE NEXT DAY TO DO SOME PERSONAL SHOPPING & RESEARCH. I SAW SOME REALLY GREAT COLLECTORS ITEMS AND FUN PIECES TO MIX INTO ANY WARDROBE. I PARTICULARLY REALLY LOVED & AM INTO VINTAGE JEWELRY..SHORT OR LONG CHAIN NECKLACES, COCKTAILS RINGS, ANYTHING FUR -NOTHING LIKE A GOOD MINK COAT, ANY DRESSES (THINK PUCCI UNIQUE PRINTS OR ANY TYPE OF CLASSIC, SOPHISTICATED OR SEXY - EVERYONE I KNOW SAYS I ALWAYS WEAR DRESSES WHAT CAN I SAY I JUST LOVE THEM & FEEL SO FEMININE IN ANY TYPE OR PATTERN), OLD LOUIS VUITTON, CHANEL, HERMES HANDBAGS & SHOES. I ENDED UP PURCHASING A NECKLACE FOR MYSELF AND ONE FOR MY SISTER WHO IS ALSO VERY MUCH INTO VINTAGE JEWELRY AND WAS THE PERSON WHO GOT MY GROWING COLLECTION NOW STARTED. I HOPE TO ATTEND MORE VINTAGE TRADE SHOWS & EVENTS AND PLAN TO VISIT MANY OF THE GREAT STORES AROUND THE CITY.
I HAD TO INCLUDE THIS VINTAGE PICTURE I FOUND ONLINE. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE GIRL WITH THE OVERSIZED SUNGLASSES ON THE BOTTOM. NO SURPRISE WHERE THE HUGE ROUND SUNGLASSES WE HAVE TODAY CAME FROM.
HUSTLE & BUSTLE OF THE CITY/FAVORITE PAINTINGS
In the city that never sleeps, with all of the hustle & bustle of the crowds of people in NYC people have to find ways to relax from it all. Everyone , myself included is always in a hurry to do something, go somewhere, or working long hours because thats what the industry expects and demands ontop of having to pay for the crazy prices of rents in the city. So to get away from it all and the stress of the busy city sometimes you just have to step back and really enjoy all that the city has to offer and enjoy life. Besides yoga, going to the gym, reading and just relaxing here are some of my favorite paintings that also bring me a feeling of peace & calmness and also inspiration. You can get caught up in it all but really we just have to enjoy life, breathe & reboot and give ourselves time to relax and enjoy the simple things in life too. My favorite paintings pictured here include Pablo Picasso- 3 musicians, Claude Monet - Brigde & Waterlillies, Vincent Van Gogh - Starry Night & Sunflowers. Hope you enjoy!

The End of an Era
With the end of NYC fashion Week at the Bryant Park Tents also sadly came the end of the road for Alexander McQueen this week. It was a sad day in fashion around the world but his design & inspiration will live on. Fashion Week is nothing without the inspirational Anna Wintour. Pictures of the front row at the shows include celebrities, models, designers - aka anyone who matters in the great world of fashion. Oh what an experience that I am forever greatful & thankful to have been apart of and hope to have the opportunity to go again soon ! Love from NYC ! SLS
